Are you the same person you were in high school? Has it impacted your job?

So, back in high school, were you voted "Most Likely to Succeed"? Or "Most Likely to Get Fired For Goofing Off"? Do you think your status in high school impacted where you ended up in the workforce?

CareerBuilder.com asked more than 6,000 full-time workers age 30 and older to categorize their high school persona, and then compared those personas in terms of job level, salary, industry and job satisfaction. Categories included personas such as student government, athlete, geek, honor society, cheerleader, drama club, teacher’s pet and class clown.

"Thirty-nine percent of workers age 30 and older said their high school experience had an influence on the job they hold today," said Rosemary Haefner, vice president of human resources at CareerBuilder.com. "While there are a variety of factors that determine one’s career path, high school involves learning experiences inside and outside the classroom that can shape interests and personal networks at an early age. It’s essentially a stepping stone into a world of opportunity."

Here's a look at what survey results suggest about the jocks, the cheerleaders, the geeks, the class clowns ...

Cheerleaders ....
• More likely to hold a vice president role than people from other high school categories.
• More likely to go into travel and insurance than other personas.

Student government ...
• More likely to be in director/manager/team lead positions than other high school categories.
• More likely to report making a six-figure salary, with 12 percent paid $100,000 or more.
• More likely to go into education than other personas.

Teacher’s pets ...
• More likely to be in director/manager/team lead positions than other high school categories.
• Greatest number of workers holding administrative/clerical positions.
• Most likely to make less than $35,000 per year (37 percent).
• More likely to go into construction or banking and finance than other personas.
• Most likely to report career satisfaction: 59 percent of teacher’s pets report that they are generally satisfied with their career progress.

Honor Society members ...
• Drawn toward professional and technical positions (59 percent).
• Next most likely to make six figures, after student government types; 10 percent of honor society members said they earn $100,000 or more.
• More likely to go into health care than other personas.

Drama Club ...
• More likely to go into health care than other personas.

Athletes ...
• Drawn toward professional and technical positions (55 percent).
• Seven percent of athletes now earn six figures.
• More likely to go into transportation fields than other personas.
• Second most likely, after teacher’s pets, to report career satisfaction: 57 percent of athletes report that they are generally satisfied with their career progress.

Class clowns ...
• Seven percent of class clowns report earning six figures.
• More likely to go into manufacturing and communications than other personas.

Geeks ...
• Drawn toward professional and technical positions (52 percent).
• Seven percent of geeks report earning six figures.
• More likely to go into engineering and retail than other personas.

What were you voted? What persona did you have? And is that who reflected in your career?

Evidently, a lot of liars answered this survey. What a wonderful economy we have...it seems that everyone is making six figures!

Does it say anything about chicken-hawks? Where are they most likely to end up? Oh yeah, as President of the USA!

Bunch of hooey! I am not who I was nor did it impact my life, thank goodness.

Cheerleaders as VP's, you must be kidding me.
