On saturday i stopped at a friend 's house that i used to work with. His names Jermar ive known him for almost three years and we've become really good friends. He's heard me ramble on about politics as some of you on these blogs have. He's african-american and always jokes around with me on voting for Obama. He knows ill never jump ship.

 but back to his party i stopped at. it was evenly split 1/3black,1/3 white,1/3 asian. Politics was far from my mind I just wanted to see some old friends i used to work with. Within a half hour this guy Jordan was talking about Obama I didn't say anything until Jermar said,man don't mess with McCain here's his number one supporter.

Jordan asked me are you voting for McCain. My one sentence was yeah i'm voting McCain. He said Man, your racist i cant talk to you, and he walked away. I was pretty hurt and bothered.

The next half hour all i heard were groups talking up Obama,bashing Bush,and McCain. no substance,no issues,just about Mccain being too old and Barack is black.It was pretty sad.

I was about to leave ,everywhere i went politics were in the air. My night turned around when i went out in the backyard to get away from all the talk. When 5 minutes later a black guy named Nate walked out the door and said the exact same thing i was thinking. Man everywhere i go its politics he says. I laughed and told him that's why im out here. He knew all the guys there and i didnt. He was talking about how none of these guys have ever voted before or cared about anything political. He said the only  issue was that Barack was black.He later said these guys need to do what they do every election year "sit your a$$ at home"

He literally had me in tears within minutes. He was a fast talker,quick on the jokes,straight forward and extremely witty. I told him he needed a tv show. I asked him who he was voting for.he wouldn't tell me but he said he's all about "going green". he told me how he worked his way up at Menards as a cart pusher,cashier,and manager and moved up the ladder and is now getting into the corporate world. Its funny because his dreads and kobe jersey didnt make him look very corporate. He rambled on cracking jokes about Mcain,Palin,Obama, and Biden. I havent laughed so much in a long time. He seemed very political but nobody at this party was worth conversating with. Just stupid-talk. What's this world coming to? Nate let me know that Jordans an idiot and he didnt think i was racist. I did feel better eventually but was still saddened a bit but all-in-all i had a good night and was glad i got to see some old friends.
