I feel so energized since Sarah Palin was picked. Ive been really giddy all day. I can't get over the fact that my number 1 pick for the last couple of weeks was selected. I told a lot of people who I wanted to see and they always responded with who's that. well now they know. What an exciting race! Good Luck Obama/Biden you're gonna need it.

Ive been saying it for weeks now. My number one vp pick would be Sarah Palin. A smart move by McCain if that's so. A smart, beautiful young woman with executive experience. So who would you like to see?
Is George Bush still president? The news dems hate to hear. Gross domestic product, or GDP, grew at a 3.3 percent annual rate in the April-June quarter, its fastest pace in nearly a year, the Commerce Department reported Thursday.

Everywhere I go, Malls or movie theatres furnature stores or convinient stores. gas stations and restaurants, it all seems to be packed and booming. People driving better cars than me complaining about not having health care, while also having internet access and cable is ridiculous. My parents gave up a lot so my brothers and sister could get braces and health care costs for our family of 8. it seems nowadays everyone wants everything at the expense of someone else while spending on stuff that one certainly does not need to survive.
DNC Vs. RNC and the Minnesota star tribune newspaper...

I live 35 minutes northwest of where the RNC convention is being held. I'm curious on how the MN star tribune is going to cover the convention. i usually dont read the paper but in my lounge at work its it always sitting there so i decided to read it, all this week as a matter of fact. Glowing headlines of the DNC convention filled with glorious pictures and positive news. 4-6 good articles all this week surrounding the front page.No questions critical of the speeches given. I wonder if Minnesotas biggest newspaper is going to give the RNC the same coverage. I don't think so but i could be wrong. I didnt think the MN star trib. would do a story on Iraqs success but there it was buried on page 12 today. Im so tempted to go down to the convention in St. Paul, but I think its going to be too crowded for my liking.

GOTTA LOVE MARK LEVIN! Michelle Obama quotes lines some radicalFar Left book in her DNC Convention speech. "Barack stood up that day," talking about a visit to Chicago neighborhoods, "and spoke words that have stayed with me ever since. He talked about “The world as it is” and “The world as it should be..."Here’s an excerpt from Chapter 2 of Saul Alinsky’s book, Rules for Radicals: "The means-and-ends moralists, constantly obsessed with the ethics of the means used by the Have-Nots against the Haves, should search themselves as to their real political position. In fact, they are passive — but real — allies of the Haves…The most unethical of all means is the non-use of any means... The standards of judgment must be rooted in the whys and wherefores of life as it is lived, the world as it is, not our wished-for fantasy of the world as it should be." Monday August 25, 2008

The highlights tonight at the convention is going to portray Baracks life and I know the media is going to fall in love with him all over again. He could use a couple of points in the polls I guess. But who wants to bet the media focuses on how much BO is like you and me when thats not the case at all. Do you think any networks besides that evil Fox News with ask any real questions? Anyone wanna play softball?

Media Research Center:
Brent Bozell said in a statement: “This study proves emphatically and without question that the Big Three networks had a horse in this year’s Democratic primary race. And that with their wall-to-wall, 24-hour daily assistance, NBC, ABC and CBS provided Sen. Barack Obama’s margin of victory. “As the liberal media’s ardor with Sen. Hillary Clinton evaporated, so too did the inevitability of her victory. The press fixated their infatuated gazes on Sen. Obama, and afforded him the crucial coverage and support he needed to win.” Saturday August 16, 2008

I've recently became good friends with a group of people at my work from India - Vijay,Jesub, and Niraj. They all came here in 2005. Ive been learning a lot about Indian culture and talking about American culture. Last week at an Indian restaurant we got on the subject of people's attitutes and Vijay pointed out how negative and worrysome americans are and how things in this country are great. He can't understand why people are always so negative in such a great country. The U.S. is defidently the place to be. With politicians telling you everything is so bad and the media focusing on it, it seems kind of hard to get on your feet. But in the words of my new friends-Americans Lighten up and relax this is the place to be and you can accomplish anything.

The three major network news outlets “censored and manipulated” Barack Obama’s longtime pastor Jeremiah Wright’s sound bites to cover up his extremism, a new study by the Media Research Center charges. In a report scheduled for release Wednesday, the MRC states: “Rev. Wright’s noxious recorded sermons suggesting that America deserved 9/11 and that the federal government created AIDS as a tool of black genocide were widely viewed on YouTube and discussed on talk radio and cable TV. But what about the network news shows, the programs most watched by the least politically involved viewers?... “A Media Research Center study of ABC, CBS, and NBC news broadcasts from the formal announcement of the Obama campaign on February 10, 2007 through July 15 reveals that a viewer watching only broadcast TV news would have received a much more limited (and even censored) version of Wright’s sermons.” Among the key findings of the study:
The report concludes: “In today’s rapid-fire political atmosphere of cable news, talk radio, and the Internet, media analysts can easily make the mistake of believing that the leading network news outlets were tough on a candidate because of the general perception of how the entire media — Old Media and New Media — brought a controversy to the public’s attention. “But voters who sampled only a light menu of news from Big Three network TV could easily have missed the depths of Reverend Wright’s outrageous remarks. No one could find in these stories a scouring scrutiny of Obama’s decades of membership in his controversial church.” Friday August 8, 2008

With this whole Favre thingy and people angry at the GB management are you going to root for the jets this year? They dont play the Pack at all. Do you root for both teams? I'M still not sure if I want Favre to win a superbowl or have a crappy season and retire for good. or maybe I just shouldn't care at all. I love the Packers and am definately rootin' for them this year. But should i care about the Jets? I shouldn't really care but for some reason it keeps bothering me.

So how do the people down in Wisconsin feel? Up here in Minnesota the sotans are driving me nuts talking about Favre going to the vikings. I love Minnesota but these once-in-a-while-im-a-die-hard-viking-fan people are annoying the crap out of me. So what are your thoughts on Brett?
