THIS JUST IN: Well, it was widely reported yesterday that Burger King introduced a new fragrance that smells like flame-broiled meat, according to published reports
(and Fox 6 news Monday night).
I would laugh if I wasn't trying to keep from throwing up.
If the person who cooked this up isn't fired, they'll be hailed as a genius. Wait, do they give Nobel Prizes to people who create this kind of stuff?
Personally, if I had to go around smelling like a burger franchise, I'd have to choose White Castle.
But hey, that's me.
It's good to see the fragrance industry has decided to tap the seductive potential of MEAT ON A GRILL. YES!
What restaurant would you wear?
The next question is, in a few years, will they come up with a cheap knockoff?
If you love the charbroiled scent of Flame, you'll love .... (insert your own cheap knockoff name here).

Every year there are a few Christmas movies I forget to watch, but I don’t think I’ve let a Christmas pass without watching “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
The tradition started the year I got chicken pox. I was sick and I’d stayed home from school. I’m pretty sure I was in sixth or seventh grade (and yes, it did itch terribly).
The movie was on one night, long before greedy TV execs stopped letting station’s wear out their copies of the Frank Capra classic.
My mom stayed up with me late into the night. I remember waiting and waiting for the Christmasy part, which takes a while. Once it was over, I loved it. I can’t say why. I just loved it.
My mom was diagnosed with cancer around the same and died a few years later. I guess the movie gave me some comfort in a time of crisis and to this day I never tire of watching it.
Sure I might enjoy other movies more — “A Christmas Story” is one, thanks to Jean Sheperd. But “It’s a Wonderful Life” will always be might first.
What is your favorite holiday movie? Why?

About This Blog
While I write on a daily basis, as a reporter, I'm new to blogging.
Rather than mix business with pleasure, I've decided to use this blog for writing about subjects different from my work on the Education Beat. Since this is all new frontier to me, it may be a few days before I start a blog here devoted to education related topics, but I plan to do so. I'm no one trick pony. On this blog, I will occasionally wax poetic on a variety of delightful topics, like the ethics of Charlie Brown or finding spiritual nourishment from bad TV. All I ask is that, if you must comment, be kind. I do not suffer fools gladly. Enjoy! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 0 rating(s)
