Searson is a Celtic and country rock band from Canada, will perform at 8 p.m. tonight at McAuliffe’s Pub, 3700 Meachem Road. The cover charge is $7. Described as a "cross between The Cranberries and Shania Twain" by the Telegraph in Georgia, Searson has furiously been touring full time in Canada and the United States for three years. Based in the Ottawa Valley of Ontario, Erin, Heather, Colleen and Mike Searson deliver a strong and fiery live show that includes lead fiddle, vocals, three female step dancers, bass, electric and acoustic guitar, mandolin and drums. As the chairman of the Oswego Music Hall in New York states, "few can match the high energy playing and step dancing put on by Searson." For more information, visit the Web at http://www.searson.org
