Night Wing, a unique Racine-based music trio, will continue their First
Friday performance season from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday at Evelyn’s
Club Main, 331 Main St. There is no cover charge.
The performance includes a great mix of party dance arrangements from the 1940s and '50s to current hits from all styles. Ron Weller is the founder of Night Wing and is featured on keyboard, saxophone and vocals. Over 25 years of stage performance and studio recording experience has enabled Weller to bring this production to life. His arrangements of music and special techniques of creating a full sound through keyboards and studio tracks has given Night Wing an unmatched product for the public to enjoy.Kristi Fenkl is the featured front vocalist. She is a former member of the Case High School Master Singers and studied music in college. Fenkl has tremendous stage presence and vocal styles that cover everything from Janis Joplin to Carrie Underwood. She toured as a stage performer for a few years before returning to Racine to call this her home. Jenny Fenkl, Kristi’s sister, adds percussion and additional vocals to Night Wing. She is a former member of the Case High School Master singers and enjoys a variety of music types. Jenny’s natural country sound and strong harmonies easily adapt to multiple forms of vocal expression. She has developed her own song list featuring classic artists such as the Pointer Sisters, Andrew Sister’s and Joan Jett. Similarities in the sisters' voices and understanding of each other’s musical performance styles are truly unique.  Night Wing This year’s performance schedule will include appearances at major festivals, Music on the Monument series, Relay for Life Benefit, North Beach Oasis dates, several yacht club dates and other private parties.
