PRINCETON, NJ -- Conservatives continue to outnumber moderates and liberals in the American populace in 2009, confirming a finding that Gallup first noted in June. Forty percent of Americans describe their political views as conservative, 36% as moderate, and 20% as liberal. This marks a shift from 2005 through 2008, when moderates were tied with conservatives as the most prevalent group.

MC,
I saw the polls showing a shift, and wondered how much of that was disgust with the Iraq war and general dissatifaction with Bush. Never the less we can thank Obama, Pelosi, and Reid, for rescueing the conservative movement. Americans forget so fast, Obama reminded them. Let me thank him and his minions here and now.

Absolutely. Americans believe in freedom first.

The liberals always know what's better for everyone are always trying to force people to do things their way. Americans will always reject this kind of control, especially when it comes from the nit-wit squad.
