DIFFERENCES BETWEEN LIBS AND COSERVATIVES
Posted by: MC on October 2, 2009 at 5:17PM CST

I received this e-mail and darned if I don't agree with all of it. How's about you?

If a conservative doesn’t like guns, he doesn`t buy one.
> If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
>
> If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn`t eat meat.
> If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for
> everyone.
>
>  If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his
> enemy.
>  A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.
>
>  If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
>  If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.
>
> If a black man or Hispanic are conservative, they see themselves as
> independently successful.
> Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government
> protection.
>
> If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his
> situation.
> A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.
>
> If a conservative doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels.
> Liberals demand that those they don’t like be shut down.
>
> If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church.
> A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.
> (Unless it’s a non-Christian religion, of course!)
>
> If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for
> it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.
>
> If a conservative slips and falls in a store, he gets up, laughs and is
> embarrassed.
> If a liberal slips and falls, he grabs his neck, moans like he's in labor
> and then sues.
>
> If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a
> good laugh.
> A liberal will delete it because he's "offended".

They do have one thing in common, though. They are both denied the chance to buy health insurance on the open market if they have a pre-existing condition. So, at least there's that.

Posted by: EvenKiel on October 2, 2009 6:51PM CST
Good point, House! There's also this difference: a conservative would rather have treatment denied by their insurance company, a liberal would rather have their government make that their doctor's decision.

There's something uniquely American about being a whiny, white liberal. After 2012, they'll go back to sulking in the shadows for another eight years, thank God (while you can still publicly proclaim faith).

MC - What a funny funny guy you are. Boring.

Posted by: algernon on October 3, 2009 8:56AM CST
MC, Your blog says it all! Consider the liberal comments already!

Posted by: Mr B on October 3, 2009 9:42AM CST
MC - I got one very similar

-If a liberal wants to feel good about himself he helps others by teaching, coaching and working with the less fortunate.
- If a conservative wants to feel good about himself he buys an Ar-15 and carries it to a political rally because it makes him a big man not a weirdo who had to buy a machine gun and bring it to a political rally.

- If a liberal sees a foreign threat he attempts to find methods to resolve the threat intelligently and if there are no options defeats his enemy with a plan on what to do when he wins. (see WWII)
- A conservative thinks there are threats everywhere attacks even those not threatening us, has no plan for what to do when he wins and claims it was not his fault (it was bad intelligence) he didn't know what he was doing.

-If a liberal is down and out he thinks about new industries such as green energy to build new jobs.
- If a conservative is down-and-out, he blames the left wing media, affirmative action and taxes for his situation.

-If a liberal is a believer he tries to live by the tenets of his religon and not force his beliefs upon others.
-A conservative believer thinks his religon is the only true religon and expects everyone to adopt it regardless of the fact this country was founded with a goal of allowing religous freedom.

-A liberal business owner provides health care for his employees and shares in the costs.
- A conservative business owner does not provide health care and tells his employees to apply for state funded Badger care.

-If a liberal is a minority or homosexual he appreciates the inclusive tone of his peers and how the goals of the party meet with the tenets of our country.
- If a conservative is a minority or homosexual he is disappointed in his parties message of exclusion and derision and understands why similar individuals rarely join in the conservative movement.

- If a conservative slips and falls in a store he hires a lawyer settles out of court then complains about tort reform on blogs because he is a hypocrit.
- If a liberal slips and falls in a store he laughs and figures it was his own clumsyness responsible.

- If a liberal loses an election he moves forward trying to identify why he lost and finds a good candidate that can speak eloquently and provide leadership for the country and his party.
- If a conservative loses an election he blames the media elite, ACORN, Voter Fraud (where none can be proven) and declares all of those who voted for the liberal candidate idiots. Then blathers on about treason because these idiots elected a commie, marxist, etc...

If a liberal reads this,he might get a little chuckle out of it and move on enjoying his life and family.
> A Conservative will be extremely upset and contact all of his conservative friends and blab on endlessly how stupid these lib, commie, marxist, socialist, whiny liberals don't deserve to be Americans because we are the only good real Americans.

>ar-15
>machine gun
Stopped reading after that.

Conservatives live in reality, liberals apparently construct their own reality and try to project dreamland onto everyone.

Mr. B--!!!! What an excellent reposte! Very well done and very thought out! I would invite algemon to contrast these remarks with rob's "whiny, white liberals...sulking in the shadows" comment. It looks like the conservative response is to insult instead of seeing the the now-famous "humor" they so often tout!

Posted by: Mr B on October 3, 2009 10:32AM CST
Rob - Figured you would.

Posted by: rob_92183 on October 3, 2009 10:41AM CST
It was either that or contrast everything with facts, and facts would have taken forever and we all know libs don't listen to them unless it suits their own version of reality, so I took the easy route.

Don't blame me, my petition for the government to subsidize a Hollywood writer to write me jokes won't go through.

Posted by: Mr B on October 3, 2009 11:11AM CST
Rob - where we the facts in the original post. At least I took 10 minutes to write my own.

To be honest these lousy attempts at "humor" are usually pretty dumb (in fact so is mine).

If this country was founded on everyone having religious freedom, then answer me this; why does every Christian in this country have to obey the ACLU?

As for the rest of your comment Mr. B, it surely does not upset me, nor does it change my mind. I still hate socialism, Marxism , communisim or any other ideology where the government has the power to tell me how to live my life.

As for the wars; why did we bomb the hell out of Serbia? To get rid of a terrible dictator like we did in Iraq?

I think Mr. B that you wasted 10 minutes.

Posted by: MC on October 3, 2009 2:25PM CST
EvenKiel/leftfoot - shame on you. You were suposed to get a "little chuckle" out of B's fiction and then move on enjoying your life and family. Instead you responded like a conservative. Have you changed sides?

Posted by: Mr B on October 3, 2009 2:27PM CST
Alge - I am a Christian and have never been impacted at all by the ACLU. I guess I don't want the schools or city defining my religon. I would rather I decide that at home and in my church.

I did not figure I would make you change your mind.

Posted by: MC on October 3, 2009 2:34PM CST
BTW Mr B, you responded in a way just like the last line in my blog said you would. You couldn't delete it, so you just replaced it with your own version. Thanks for verifying the authenticity of my blog.

Posted by: Mr B on October 3, 2009 2:38PM CST
MC at least I took the time to write my own thoughts. Who blasts GG for cut and paste?

Posted by: racinenativemn on October 3, 2009 3:02PM CST
To comment on the first post on the blog.
How come I cant purchase auto insurance after i crash or just call up and purchase home owners insurance while the house is on fire?
If Government would let us purchase health insurance in any state we want and stop making insurance companies have mandates on everything maybe we would be better off.
Or hey how about instead of whinning about having no health insurance you buy a cheaper car, get rid of your cell phone, and be responsible and purchase your own insurance. Oh yeah I live in a poor-middle class neighborhood and 90% of the residents have dish network. Some people just have other priorities.

Posted by: algernon on October 3, 2009 3:30PM CST
Right on racinenativemn!
There is an old saying; "man is not rich through ones possessions , but through that which one can, with dignity do without".

Going without the things you mentioned would enable one to purchase health insurance.

Posted by: algernon on October 3, 2009 4:55PM CST
Mr B, the ACLU says we can't have a nativity scene in front of our churches or any place where it is visable to the public. This is over the top. Yet, the musslims have their prayers all over every visable place.

Telling us what we cannot do with our faith is the same as telling us what we CAN do with it. We don't need the ACLU! They avocate civil liberties for everyone, while stealing our civil liberties. But, if you don't care---- We had nobody defining our religion before the ACLU. And you know it!!!

Posted by: racinenativemn on October 3, 2009 5:29PM CST
Im all for lowering costs and there are plenty of ways to do it...and not by handing out free health care to people that don't care about their health.

Posted by: Mr B on October 3, 2009 11:02PM CST
Alge - Where have they ever prevented a church from putting a nativity scene on church property. Find the case. ANd about the not visible comment again I have never heard that.

Now if you meant asked them not to put it on govt property you would be right. If defining your religon is controlled by your ability to see a nativity scene on govt property.

Where I disagree in the defining religion piece is in many areas there were restrictions on religon including mine. Catholics were not accepted in many parts of the US. And I am fine my religon and my govt don't intermingle. I don't want them in my religon.

Posted by: MC on October 3, 2009 11:24PM CST
Mr B - If I totally agree with the thoughts I pasted above (which I do) then they ARE my thoughts too. Is that so hard to comprehend? BTW, I have not "blasted" GG for her C&P blogs. You have the wrong target for your venom.

Posted by: MC on October 4, 2009 5:31PM CST
BTW, in GG's blog "Former McCain..." I posted this rude crude insulting comment that GG quickly screened out;
"One man's opinion - whoop-de-doo."
Guess it was just too nasty for her to post.

Posted by: MC on October 5, 2009 2:17PM CST
BTW B, YOURS was an attempt at humor, but mine was dead serious and in my opinion factual.

Posted by: DobberDeeDee on October 5, 2009 5:21PM CST
"Mr. B--!!!! What an excellent reposte" posted by EvenKiel - I believe you mean 'riposte", EvenK.

Funniest thing, I had to explain this to "Bigfoot" a while back, too. Maybe it's a family thing? Might be those trees, putting out some strange pollen...?

A while back, EvenK said she would only be posting comments on health care because it was a subject she felt she had a lot to say about, having worked in the field.

Since then, "EvenK" has been posting comments on everything from how it's OK for Letterman to sexually harrass his employees to blogs like this one.

If I were a suspicious kind of person, I would have to conclude that "Bigfoot" is using "EvenK's" handle.

Is that OK?

Is it even true?

Does it matter?

I don't know. I'm just askin'.....

Posted by: Mr B on October 5, 2009 9:39PM CST
MC - If you really feel that is fact then that tells me alot about you.

Posted by: MC on October 5, 2009 9:44PM CST
It's obvious who "evenkiel" really is now days. Wonder why he isn't man enough to just admit it.

Posted by: MC on October 5, 2009 9:48PM CST
That's good Mr B. I'm proud to have all the conservative values listed in my heading.

Posted by: DobberDeeDee on October 6, 2009 12:11AM CST
MC - I read just re-read your original blog posting, and I must say that I, too, agree with all the points made in it.

I don't usually like to get forwarded emails, but once in a while there is a gem out there. In my opinion, this is one of those gems.

You can really see it now, with liberals in power. They want to be up in everyone's business.

It is their modus operandi. I'm gettin' REAL tired of it.

The Skandihoovians felt a bit sorry for him loosing the Olympic bid and perhaps even a little guilty, so they tossed him this "bone" as their peace offering. (pardon the pun) If what the right is sayig is "vitriol", then what do you call the trash talk from the left as exampled in the first 5 comments in this blog?
