An 11-year-old girl died after her parents prayed for healing rather than seek medical help for a treatable form of diabetes, police said Tuesday.

Court rules in favor of parents

The state Supreme Court ruled in favor of two Columbia County parents who allegedly knew high school students were drinking on their property.
This ruling sets a precedent in that parents who allow their underage children to host drinking parties cannot be held liable if guests later get into drunken driving accidents.
